Allison Gonzalez started Pilates while still dancing professionally, as a way to recover from a back injury. She continued to use Pilates as cross training during her career and after she stopped dancing, decided to pursue a Pilates certificate. She was offered a scholarship to study with Romana Kryzanowska in her NYC program and was certified in 2000. This program also included master teacher, Bob Liekens who continues to be a mentor. Allison joined Bob at Power Pilates to become a teacher trainer in 2005. Allison also is a certified GYROTONIC(r) Exercises teacher and is an avid ballroom dancer with her husband. She owns two studios in the San Francisco Bay area: Purely Pilates in Belmont, CA and Evolve Classical Pilates in Los Altos, CA
